Improving quality of life: a group of women during a training session |
Centre for Social Welfare (CSW) came into existence in 1987 following concerted efforts by a few experts in the field of health, social sector and administration. Their idea behind formation of CSW was to improve overall quality of life of people, particularly the tribal, women, children, downtrodden and deprived people, living in rural and urban areas, so that they could lead a respectable, healthy and economically self-dependent life.
CSW is a registered society bearing registration number 18961, dated October 26,1987. It is registered under Sub-section 2 of Section 13 of the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 1973, subsequently amended on May 12, 2005. Other registration details are:
- Registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1976, with registration number 063160140
- Registered under Section 12-A of the Income Tax Act, 1961
- Registered under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act, 1962
Since its formation CSW has involved itself in various innovative schemes in the field of health, education, livelihood and empowerment to serve the people effectively and timely, as per specific needs and requirement irrespective of their caste, creed, status, gender and age.
In recognition of its successful track record in the social sector, the Directorate of Panchayat and Social Justice, Madhya Pradesh, has registered CSW for their projects and programmes in the fields of social welfare, de-addiction, etc. (vide their letter no. F.2-26/05/315). |
