An awareness programme underway

CSW makes considerable efforts to create awareness on issues of immense social importance, particularly amongst women, and increasing capacity to develop leadership qualities of targeted beneficiaries.

Some of the activities in this field are:

1. Awareness camp for members of Municipal Corporation, Zila Parishad COs and members of parishad, about the intent of various ongoing schemes initiated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh
2. Awareness generation camps about the various schemes and programmes of the State Government, meant specifically for the benefits of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Geetanagar and Banpura wards of Bhopal district
3. Camps on horticultural activities and development of nurseries, so that they can achieve maximum yields at low cost. During the camps experience about organic farming is also shared amongst the participants.
4. Promotion of equality amongst Dalits through awareness programmes on the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti
5. Programmes on 'Rural Women Empowerment' to:

• Strengthen institutions at the state and national levels for effectively addressing the issues of violence and discrimination against women in the society
• Strengthen, sensitise and create non-formal organisations at the village levels to monitor and lobby against gender discrimination
• Analyze the socio-economic causes and consequences of violence against women and its impact on the society
• Produce a reader-friendly training module on legal literacy on violence against girls on the basis of needs assessment vis-a-vis various aspects of violence affecting the status of women in the society
• Strengthen the local self-governance institutions by enhancing the skills of members with a special focus on female members

6.   Organisation of various awareness programmes for helpless and needy people by providing informative details of various schemes initiated by the Government as well as by private institutions, meant for benefits of such people
