Women and girls learning to make artefacts
|
Right from inception, CSW is providing vocational training to generate additional sources of livelihood under various projects, programmes and schemes. These training include:
- Embroidery
- Computer courses
- Typing (both Hindi and English)
- Stitching and knitting
- Manufacturing of incense sticks (agarbatti)
- Making of file covers
- Carpet/durri making
- Tailoring and cutting
- Flower making
- Artificial ornaments
- Repairing of mobile handsets
Adolescents, women, below poverty line families, Scheduled Cates, Scheduled Tribes, slum dwellers and people living in tribal and inaccessible villages are benefitting from these training conducted in Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Harda, Betul, Sehore and Vidisha districts.
These training are being provided under several projects:
- State Social Welfare Board of Madhya Pradesh
- SJSRY through District Urban Development Authority (DUDA)
- Central Social Welfare Board, New Delhi
- State Advisory Welfare Board, Bhopal
CSW is also providing training to the members of various self-help groups with a view to build their respective capacities as entrepreneurs and help them to establish micro-level linkages with various financial institutions so they are able to stand on their own without any outside support.
